M&M Community Block Party Weekend
August 7–8, 2026 | Downtown Menominee | Marina Park & First Street
Get ready for a weekend packed with creativity, family fun, music, games, and community spirit! Join us for the first-ever M&M Community Block Party Weekend as we bring families together while supporting the future home of the M&M Children’s Museum.
From sidewalk chalk art and a Corporate Hula-Hoop-A-Thon to youth basketball, family activities, and a community dance party, there’s something for everyone.
Funds raised throughout the weekend help bring the M&M Children’s Museum to life and create a future space for hands-on learning, creativity, and connection in our community.
Friday: Chalk Fest + Hula-Hoop-A-Thon
Saturday: Youth 3-on-3 Basketball, Family Fun Zone + Dance Party
Chalk Fest
Friday, August 7 | 12:00–6:00 PM
Grab your chalk and help us turn downtown Menominee into a giant outdoor canvas. Chalk Fest is open to all ages and skill levels—whether you're creating a masterpiece, designing a fun selfie backdrop, or just joining in for family fun.
Participants can register and pick up chalk at Marina Park. Categories include ages 10 & under, 11–17, adults, and family/group teams. Prizes awarded in each category.
No experience needed—just creativity. Chalk provided, or bring your own
Youth 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
Saturday, August 8 | 8am Registration
Bring your team and hit the court! Six courts on First Street will be ready for action as youth teams compete in a fast-paced community tournament.

• Check-in: 8:00 AM
• Games begin: 9:00 AM
• Ages: 18 & under
• Guaranteed three games
• Pool play + bracket format
Gather your friends and register early—spots will be limited.

​Hula-Hoop-A-Thon: Spin for the Museum
Friday, August 7 | Starts at 4:00 PM
Grab a hoop and join the fun! The Hula-Hoop-A-Thon is a free, family-friendly event open to kids, adults, and anyone ready to jump in and have fun. Whether you're seeing how long you can keep your hoop spinning or just joining for laughs and memories, everyone is welcome.

Looking for a little friendly competition? Local businesses and organizations can also register teams for our Corporate Team Challenge, where teams of 3–5 compete for bragging rights while supporting the future M&M Children’s Museum.

Family Fun Zone

Marina Park transforms into a giant family play area filled with activities for
kids and families.
